The Scout Difference
Specialized. Easy. Clear.
Why Scout exists
Building a better way
Scout Veterinary Urgent Care was founded by three passionate, tenacious and deeply loyal people. We saw a need in our community and were compelled to fill it.
The pet care system is fragmented and difficult to navigate. The pet owning community is growing and access to urgent veterinary care has become challenging. We believe that urgent pet care can be easier and that easier will result in improved outcomes.
Veterinary professionals enter the field full of hope and compassion. Too often, they suffer from fatigue, burnout and a lack of structured support when they need it most. We believe that creativity, dialogue and connection are key to a rewarding and sustained career in veterinary medicine.
Both pets and professionals need our help. We believe that by striving toward an easier way, maintaining strong partnerships, and starting from a place of humility we will succeed in our mission.
We are ambitious, we are humble, we are honest. We are Scout.

Tripp Welge
Cofounder
Pets have always been a meaningful part of Tripp's life — over the past few years he became increasingly aware of both the shortage of veterinarians in the field and the lack of care options available for your pets when you need it most. As an accomplished executive with a track record of building and investing in team-oriented, fast-growing companies and a frustration with the current state of the veterinary industry, Tripp set out to build a better solution for vets, pets and pet owners.
